Harrow Law Centre is recruiting!

An escalating housing crisis has been developing across London and Harrow is particularly badly affected due to the lack of social housing. To try to tackle this crisis and to help secure decent housing in its community, Harrow Law Centre (HLC) is expanding its campaigns work and is looking to recruit a Housing Campaigns and Community Organiser.

HLC is looking for a talented, creative and experienced Campaigns Worker with experience of community organising, to conceive and deliver impactful events and communications that help achieve its mission. The Campaigns Worker will assist in empowering the local community to defend their legal rights when it comes to housing.

Harrow Law Centre is a small, effective and forward-thinking Law Centre which provides specialist legal advice and representation to combat disadvantage, discrimination and exclusion. It also works to influence local and national policy to improve public services for the most vulnerable. It uses the law not only to resolve the legal problem for the individual but to achieve wider change.

HLC has small premises in a vibrant community setting but all staff will be working remotely for some of the time. It specialises in social welfare law and holds Legal Aid contracts in Housing, Immigration/Asylum, Public Law and Welfare Benefits.

  • 35 hours per week
  • Salary £38,500 per annum plus pension
  • Annual Leave 26 days per annum plus bank holidays
  • Location Harrow/some remote working
